Job Description

I am working with a Secondary school based in Harrow to recruit a talented, enthusiastic and qualified Teacher of Biology up to GCSE to start ASAP.

This oversubscribed comprehensive school with a long record of high student achievement had 74% of students gain A*-C grades in English and Maths at GCSE, and their motivated students make excellent progress. In 2015 OFSTED graded the school as outstanding in all areas and commented

"Students have outstanding attitudes to learning and take a pride in their work".

Close to local bus links, tube and a mainline station, this school has built its reputation on hard work, excellent attendance and good behaviour and now require a passionate Science teacher to help further there success. This role allows you the opportunity to be part of the transformation of a community and improve the life chances of the amazing young students.

The Science Department is supportive, successful and runs an extensive programme of specialist activities. Science A Levels are extremely popular in their Sixth Form and the ability to teach Biology to A Level would be an advantage.

Applicants should be keenly interested in how children learn, as well as committed to equal opportunities and a collaborative approach to teaching and learning. In return the school offers staff excellent resources in a state-of-the-art building, a wide ranging professional development programme and support for career progression.

If this sounds like a position that excites you and you're looking for your next opportunity to make a difference, then please apply today by emailing your CV or calling 0203 957 8002.
